Barack Obama’s Spiritual Adviser Rev. Jeremiah Wright

By John Keitel

(Several video clips below)

The old media biased coverage for their candidate, Barack Obama for president, concerning his Spiritual Adviser Rev. Jeremiah Wright of the Trinity United Church of Christ. Which advocates the “Black value system” as their mission. Also Obama’s campaign has named Wright a member to his Presidential African American Religious Leadership Council. And Obama says, “He’s a friend and mentor.”

The old media is saying biased things like; “You can’t hold Obama responsible for Rev. Wrights statements,” “fiery speeches,” “fiery friend,” “fiery fallout.” CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “Harsh as it sounds, like it or not, it’s the truth,” “this is off track,” “why do we have to cover this,” “He’s like a old uncle you don’t agree with.” And ABC saying Wright is a “powerful voice and strong words,” and “He often uses the Bible to support his political views.”

Are you serious Mr. Barack Obama? Jeremiah Wright baptized your children. You chose to go to this church, for 20 years. You gave $22,500 to this church recently, how much over your life time membership? Do you let your children listen to this hate? Should anyone take you children to hear these hateful racist speech?

Where is the change, the hope, the unity, a new future?

What about Christians being smeared in the media over the years by association with Past. Robertson or Jerry Falwell? (The statements were wrong headed and they were chastised by Christians for them) Or just being a Christian? Or believing that killing an unborn child is wrong?

McCain is being asked by the old media to drop one of his spiritual advisers for saying that we should fight to rid the world of radical Islam. Hypocrites!

Local station of KVOR reports, “Barack Obama is trying to distance himself from the Reverend.” And then they only play Wrights comment about no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. Because that fits the media template. And nothing in the national top of the hour radio news.

Now for the hate speeches, NOT SERMONS, from the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, Barack Obama’s pastor for 20 years and now his campaigns Spiritual Adviser and member of his African American Religious Leadership Council.

And Obama you take OFFENSE to what Geraldine Ferraro said! Or Bill Clinton?

Be aware these are hateful, graphic comments. Obama – “Don’t tell me words don’t matter!”

Jeremiah Wright’s “GD America!”

Hillary’s never been called a ____!

9/11 is the United States of Americas fault?

Look how much of Wright’s speech, not a sermon, is CUT OUT of this”news” story.

Barack Obama’s idea of patriotism?

  1. I’ve been waiting to see if MSNBC and CNN would continue their black-out of the story, or if their talking-heads would try to spin it as “courageous”. Where is Keith Olbermann to tell us what terrible examples of humanity Hillary and McCain are? It is NO coincidence that Michelle Obama has not felt proud of America until now. Now…..that she and her husband are close to the White House. It is no coincidence that Barack didn’t place his hand over his heart. I first I thought he was just lost in thought, but not anymore, I think it was deliberate. Trust me, his loyal minions will try to spin this whole thing, try to convince us that he doesn’t believe as his Pastor does. Don’t believe it. Any man that attends a church for twenty years, considers the Pastor his spiritual mentor, and gives money to that church, is drinking the Kool-aid.
Obama is smart enough to know that his deepest thoughts would anger or scare most Americans, so he only shares them with his inner circle. I ferverently hope Democrats use some common sense and vote of Hillary, as imperfect as she may be. I know this much, she really does love this country, and she really is ready to work her heart out for the American people.

  2. I am with you up to the point about voting for HillaBill. She hates American also. And beyond that will turn us into a socialist country and we would go broke doing it.

  3. Obama is not responsible for his Pastor, just like McCain is not responsible for John Hagee and Hillary is not responsible for ___________ (who’s her pastor?). Anyway, it seems Americans would rather have an aethist or an adulterer for a President rather than a good family man who professes Christianity. So many of you Americans have been demonizing Muslims and have even tried to claim that Obama is one. Aren’t Muslims and zealots like John Hagee and Rod Parsley (who has called for the destruction of Islam) part of American society? How come you all behave like this and still call yourselves the “free world”?

  4. The media has called for McCain to reject and denounce Hagee, but not the same for Obama and Wright.

I don’t want an adulterer or an atheist. This country was found on Gods morals and has accepted immigrants to live here. We, the Republicans, went to war to free the slaves.

I don’t demonize Muslims. I will write against the extremist, they have proclaimed war against us. And have attacked us.

We have given Africa Billions and have made it so that HIV/AIDS is not a death sentence in that country. Africa just accepted a visit from President Bush like the hero that he is!

  5. Yes please keep this up media…keep trying to drive a wedge between people..its his pastor and he can’t control how that man feels but I will say this if Hilary snakes this from Obama I dunno why people think blacks or young voters will run to her..blacks will stay home and the younger votes will go back to there Ipods and Ps3’s and when McBush is sworn in on Jaun 09 we can all look foward to a healthy does of war with Iran

  6. The Reverend did this not the media.

Obama said this man was his friend and mentor. Then named his book after his statement, “audacity of Hope.” Then made him a part of his campaign.

Your right the black people will stay home if Hillary is the candidate.

If either candidate were truly able to unite, the message would unite.

  7. Jeremiah Wright’s radical views were no secret. They have been a topic on talk radio for months while there has been a de facto MSM blackout of Barack’s church. It is interesting that Wright’s views were little discussed while Mitt’s church received intense religious scrutiny. To borrow a phrase, it has taken a while for the chickens to come home to roost.

  10. John,

Your right, Sean Hannity, for one, has talked about this for months. The media has given Obama and Wright a free ride. The coverage is still light on this issue. And if Wright resigns, they will try and bury it. But, it will not go away, the American voter will repel from this hate filled message.

  11. Obama’s judgement has to be called in to question over his Pastor and also his continuing friendship with William Ayers. Why does he choose to keeps as friends people who obviously hate their country and their fellow Americans.

  12. Sir, let us not be the ones to cast stones at Jeremiah Wright. Whatever we may hate in him is eating us up even as we talk about it and we need to repent for our own sin and then pray for him. Judge not, lest ye be judged. Are you perfect? Have you never sinned? Barack Obama has already denounced those words. It is un-christian to expect him to denounce the man. Paul taught us to hate the sin but love the sinner. It is your kind of Christianity and religiosity that Jesus came to deliver us from. Think about it. Jesus was controversial! Jesus unsettled the people of his day with his words. He came to set hearts on fire. His message drove the authorities and the religious leaders crazy. You also need to appreciate that certain black people actually saw slavery with their eyes and they may feel justified in their anger. Remember Barack never saw slavery and is therefore not a part of that kind of stuff – that is why they kept saying he is not black enough, don’t you remember? The media keeps spinning things on you and drives you nuts that you forget what was said yesterday (Oh, do you forget that he is in fact a muslim?!). He is the son of a Kenyan black man and a white Kansas woman. Do not lump him in with Jeremiah Wright.

  13. I don’t understand why Jeremiah Wright calls himself black? Look at color of his skin – completely white! His facial features are also not African at all, more like South European, Turkish or Arabic. If he is black then we all are black!

  14. WRIGHT IS HIS MENTOR WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD EVEN TALK TO THAT RACIST. YOU ARE THE COMPANY THAT YOU KEEP. I DO NOT CALL HIM A REVEREND AS HE DOES NOT EARN THAT TITLE HIS A RACIST. OBAMA AND HIS WIFE CAN GET ON THE NEXT PLANE TO AFRICA FOR ALL I CARE. I HAVE NEVER VOTED FOR A REPUBLICAN BUT I DAMN SURE WILL, BEFORE I WOULD EVER VOTE FOR OBAMA.

  15. Mmasingira,

Don’t call me sir I was enlisted. You don’t know that I have been a Christian for 30 years and have attended Churches all over America and Europe and have NEVER heard anything like this hate filled speech, this is not a sermon!! Of course I am a sinner we all are.

    Jesus did not preach hate.

None of the black people living today have seen slavery, so what. The Black people that said he wasn’t black enough were talking about him not being in the civil rights struggle the way some of them were.

No he is not a Muslim.

Obama named Jeremiah Wright as his friend, mentor, pastor, and spiritual adviser – member of the Presidential African American Religious Leadership Council. That makes J. Wright necessary to investigate.

  16. A Great American,

This has taken over a year to get through to the old media. And now that it has the great American voters are taking notice. As this happens his political career will be over.

I am working on a piece about Wm. Ayers. He will be exposed as well.

the leftist in this country, the Democrats, all feel this way, that is why it has taken so long for it to come to light. And the fact that ABC released video last week. Before it was all audio, not a powerful I guess.

  17. Ivan,

People can have black ethnicity without looking black. I am white and got confused for Puerto Rican a lot when I lived there.

I don’t question his “blackness” I question his hatred for this great country.

  18. Belle,

I agree this is not a Reverend. You cannot take children to these speeches or you get children with hate filled souls. That is dangerous to the child and the country.

An Adult that subscribes to his teaching will become filled with hate as well.

Obama and his wife have lived a life of privilege going to Princeton AND Harvard. They would not know how to live in another country.

I don’t get the black hatred for Republican’s. They were the first and only successful third party in America and did so by being against slavery. They were so against slavery that they went to war with their own countrymen to end it. And ended it!!

  19. Hillary and Bill Clinton have made a significant issue about how the press is treating Hillary unfairly in their hyper-critical reporting on her and their “softball” reporting on Barack Obama. Hillary maintains she has been fully investigated by the media and Barak hasn’t!

As the Tony Rezko trial begins in Chicago, Clinton and her surrogates are linking Obama to Rezko and the media is speculating about whether Obama will be called to testify as a witness in the case. Obama has always admitted he received $85,000 in contributions from Rezko which Obama has now donated to charity rather than keep.

Yet the civil fraud trial of Bill Clinton for defrauduing Hillary’s largest donor in 2000 into giving her campaign more than $1.2 million, pending in Los Angeles courts since 2003, is now preparing for a November, 2008 trial. The discovery that is now proceeding after a February 21 hearing, and the pending trial, have NEVER been announced by the mainstream media.

Hillary was able to extricate herself as a co-defendant in the case in January, 2008 after years of appeals to be protected by the First Amendment from tort claims arising out of federal campaign solicitations she made. Her abuse of the intent of California’s anti-SLAPP law after the California Supreme Court refused to dismiss her from the case in 2004 is emblematic of her contempt for the Rule of Law.

Hillary will be called as a witness in both discovery and the trial according to the trial court Judge who so-advised Hillary’s attorney David Kendall when he dismissed Hillary as a co-defendant in 2007. A subpoena is being prepared this month and will be served personally on Hillary, along with Chelsea, Pa Gov. Ed Rendell, Al Gore and other well known political and media figures.

Yet the media has refused to report about this landmark civil fraud case- brought by Hillary’s biggest 2000 donor to her Senate race, regarding allegations that were corroborated by the Department of Justice in the criminal trial of Hillary’s finance director David Rosen in May, 2005. That indictment and trial was credited as resulting from the civil suit’s allegations by Peter Paul, the Hollywood dot com millionaire Bill Clinton convinced to donate more than $1.2 million (according to the DOJ prosecutors and the FBI) to Hillary’s Senate campaign as part of a post White House business deal with Bill.

The media – except for World Net Daily- has also suspiciously refused to report on Hillary’s last FEC report regarding her 2000 Senate campaign, filed in January 30, 2006. In a secret settlement of an FEC complaint by the plaintiff in Paul v Clinton, Peter Paul, the FEC fined Hillary’s campaign $35,000 for hiding more than $720,000 in donations from Paul, and it required Hillary’s campaign to file a 4th amended FEC report.

In that report Hillary and her campaign again hid Paul’s $1.2 million contribution to her campaign and falsely attributed $250,000 as being donated by Paul’s partner, Spider Man creator Stan Lee, who swore in a video taped deposition he never gave Hillary or her campaign any money.

Lee did testify to trading $100,000 checks with Paul to make it appear he gave $100,000 to Hillary’s campaign (admission of a felony) but none of that has been reported by the “overly critical” media!

Where is the outrage from Obama that the press is engaging in a double standard relating to his possible role in the Rezko trial and his refunding the $85,000 contributed to his campaign by Rezko- which Obama has always admitted taking. The media makes no mention of Hillary’s role as a witness in Bill’s fraud trial for defrauding Hillary’s largest donor- and Hillary’s refusal to refund the $1.2 million she illegally received from Paul, which she has denied taking from Paul ever since the Washington Post asked her about Paul and his felony convictions from the 1970’s before her first Senate election in 2000?

Let the truth be told, see the video of Hillary commiting crimes at http://www.hillcap.org

And to those that like to get brainwashed by the media, like CNN (Clinton News Network) lets be real. We know churches are not 20 years talking about the same thing, the media gathered up those few clips. Do I think the pastor is a bit racist, there’s no doubt about it. But to link Obama with the Pastor, No. First of all, people are forgetting (Maybe because of his color) that OBAMA is WHITE and BLACK! As much as people want to make Obama un-American…. he is not. Youtube videos showing him not Pledge to the flag? First of all he and the audience were the only smart people that knew the national anthem is not the pledge of allegiance, plus was the only one singing it when Clinton and the others didn’t even know the song. I friend of mines I knew for 23 years murdered two people, I hate him for doing such stupidity, but he was part of the family, and I see him like twice every year. But that doesn’t make me a murderer. I never knew or seen my cuz do anything criminal. It didn’t make my wife switch her mind on being with me, that because I’m my own person. People should pay attention to what Obama says and not his pastor, so as much as you want to make it look like Obama is un-American. That is such a Clinton!!! in other words such a LIE! I mean just look at her latest lie about her experience with Children health care, BUSTED!!! The Clinton were forced by the real people in SCHIP and they weren’t ready, and now they are taking all the credit that they created it.

  20. Muslims Against Sharia call on Senators McCain and Obama to cut all ties with their racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic supporters.

    McCain: http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/2008/03/mccains-spiritual-guide-destroy-islam.html
    Obama: http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/2008/03/racist-congregation-cheering-racist.html

  21. Pedro,

You have to agree that both sides have virtually a free pass from the media, the media is Democrat/Liberals.

Obama has a free pass on Rezco and Rev. Wright. Even you are giving Obama’s friend, mentor, pastor, and campaign adviser a wink and nod pass. Rev. Wright is entirely hate filled against the USA.

The people will not let this pass, this is politics get used to it.

The Clintons have always had campaign fraud occurring that the Democrat/Liberal media will not call attention to. What about the $850,000 this campaign that came from China town dish washers?

The media is two faced and will get behind who they think is going to win as long as it is a Democrat/Liberal/Socialist!!!!

  22. Muslims Against Sharia,

Glad to hear your against Sharia law! Now do something to get your friends to go in the direction of changing your elders running the religion into war!!

They have attacked us everywhere they can using women and disabled people when they cannot brainwash “men” to blow themselves up.

If only 10% of Islam is extremist thats 100 million. You have a lot of work to do. Rise up against those in YOUR RELIGION or you will lose it to stupidity!

Stop trying to make US out as the problem. We are only responding to the attacks against us. We did not attack you first. We are in DEFENSE of our people and have every right to do so. If your religion fails to turn itself around and fails it is your fault, not ours.

  23. Obama has been going to this church for 20 years? and this is where he brings his children? The audacity of this man to talk about JUDGEMENT. Just look at his record. He wants to support the terrorists .. maybe that is because he is one himself. BArrack Hussein Obama is no MARTIN LUTHER KING!. He is more like Hitler in my opinion. ANd the people who are voting for him obviously are not THINKING!!!!

  24. the triumph of dope over expedience?

whoops, I meant hope over experience.

oh what a tangled web we weave

if first we rationalize, then believe

  25. Lisa,

The judgment is part of the issue. The judgment that Rev. Wrights breaking one of the ten commandments from a pulpit was acceptable.

Obama accepted these statements when his campaign began and then hired the Rev. on his staff. He should have made a better decision. Any Church you cannot take your children to is not meant to spread the word of God. And no adults should attend a Church where words like these are used.

The Lords name in vain and cursing from the pulpit will repel most of the more than 85% of Americans that identify themselves as Christians.

  26. poetryman,

What a tangled web it is. I have been called all sorts of names commenting on this campaign.

  27. Grow up people!! This was not just his pastor!! Wright is Obama’s friend, someone Obama says he goes to for POLITICAL ADVICE, someone who he RESPECTS so much that he named a book after one of his sermons! This is not just a pastor he heard on Sunday spewing hate, which is bad enough, he let this racist, Anti- American on his campaign team. WAKE UP AMERICA!! WAKE UP ANTI-AMERICA OBAMA!!

  28. This is just ridiculous that white people are so offended… Not saying that I full agree with everything the Pastor said, but I definitely see his points and do not disagree. The one guy asks what did you feel after 9/11? I felt exactly what Rev. Right said and then some. Not only me, almost every black person I spoke to. It was exactly as Rev Wright said, “The Chickens coming home to Roost.” Just as Malcom X said about the Kennedy assassination. If you continue to bomb other countries and do dirt yo other countries don’t get offended when that dirt comes back to your front yard. That;’s not a racist statement, that’s a true statement. I do hate that those people died like that in the Twin Towers but that doesn’t change the fact. As a whole, most black people just were not that offended and most were not running around singing God Bless America. That is, unless they were in some form of politics. I never said God Damn america either but I would never condemn anyone else for saying it. In fact, I can somewhat agree…
There’s an old saying, “It’s A Black Thing, You wouldn’t Understand.” As red and insulted as many whites get over this, I guess that’s what it comes down to…

  29. This isn’t a “black thing” in fact saying that only segregates yourself into a category. Keeping categories alive is exactly how the left keeps power.

The only chickens that came home to roost are the chickens of inaction that the Clinton Administration ignored during the first World Trade Center bombing, the bombed embassy’s, and the bombing of the US Cole. Inaction portrayed weakness.

The comments from Rev. Jeremiah Wright are indefensible from the pulpit. He has a right to say what he wishes, that in no way makes it right. Barack Obama knew about theses statements when he appointed the Rev. Wright to a position on his Presidential Campaign. Obama chose to deal with the fall out later. Now is his later.

You said “As a whole, most black people just were not that offended and most were not running around singing God Bless America. That is, unless they were in some form of politics.” I think you are wrong and most black people did and do care about what happened to this country on 9/11.

Your all over the place when you say, “I never said God Damn america either but I would never condemn anyone else for saying it. In fact, I can somewhat agree…”

This country has done more for its citizens than any other country in history and you damn it.

Insults is right, you and Barack Obama want everyone to believe that this is a race issue. ooooooooooo, It is not race! it is about hate being preached from a church pulpit that repels people from these statements. And from Obama.

Race is the diversion and your falling for it. Remember this is politics.
