Obama Denounces Rev. Wright in “Courageous” Press Confrence
By: John Keitel
My comments are about the political processes and consequences of how candidates decide to handle adversities.
All we heard in the MSM about this press conference to denounce the Rev. Jeremiah Wright was, “how courageous, very courageous, brave, most forthright repudiation, public divorce.” This was the MSM’s attempt at sanitizing this issue and trying to make it go away.
Give me a break are we to believe that the marshmellow interviews and the NAACP comments were fine by Obama, But the National Press Club comments were too much? Obama said that this was a “performance.” Is Obama asking us to believe that we knew more about his Pastor than he did? What does that say about Obama’s judgment?
Obama, “What Wright said directly contradicts everything I’ve done in my life.” How can that be if Wright was is close friend, Obama said he was “familiy”?
Obama, “Wright showed disregard for me and my campaign.” This was seen by Obama as personal and is a big reason for Obama’s anger. It is all about the Obama and his campaign NOT ABOUT THE COUNTRY THAT WRIGHT ATTACKS!
Obama, “Wrights comments were a bunch of rants.” Obama believes most of the “rants” or he would not have stayed around for almost 20 years.
Obama, “Yesterday I think he (Wright) characterized himself.” Obama’s judgment kept him in the pews for almost 20 years and yesterdays comments characterized Wright?
Obama has stood tall for Rev. Wright even in his “race” speech. Which I said was all about diversion using race and not about the issues that Wright brought up, GD America, 9/11 America’s fault, US of KKKA, etc. The “race” speech was a diversion to the Rev. Wright issue, it did not work. This Rev. Wright issue has never been about race but about God and Country!
Obama said that his campaign canceled Rev. Wright’s apperance for the announcement of his campaign. Yesterday Obama said that Rev. Wright prayed with him and his family inside before going out to announce his candidacy for President. Judgment?
Obama, Where are all the fainters?
Obama’s press conference

Why did you cut and run out of IIP, John?
You have not one clue to what you are talking about when it comes to the Wright issue.
Stop listening to Hannity.
I am a veteran I don’t cut and run. Life.
Your completely wrong about the Wright issue. This kind of issue has legs that will out run the candidate, even with the MSM trying to look the other way.
Obama cannot get away from the almost 20 years of Wright’s advice and claim he did not know about this side of Wright. The American voter will see too close of a connection.
You quote, “Obama, “What Wright said directly contradicts everything I’ve done in my life.”
And comment, “How can that be if Wright was is close friend, Obama said he was “familiy”?”
My question: Have you ever disagreed with a close friend or someone in your family?
If I denounced everyone I’ve ever disagreed with, I’d be living under a log.
The MSM has been all over this non-story and many –including some bloggers–continue to display how little knowledge they possess regarding what principles bind the body of people that make up a church together as one.
Wright–by his actions at the National Press Club–violated and betrayed not only Obama, but every member of his church.
Good thing he’s retired.
You should really branch out from Hannity……as a vet, I would have taken you for one that was against the blatant media attempt to try and select our presidential candidates….

Antenna,
A disagreement with a family member is one thing. When your running for President of the United States and people want to get to know a candidate, especially one without much of a record, they look to many factors to learn about the candidates character.
Obama’s character is revealed, Wrights comments were only offensive to Obama when Wright called him a politician. Not about the comments offensive to our country. But then liberals believe what Wright has to say.
The voters are concerned about the way their President sees their country. A this point the voters are thinking that Obama’s views are the same as Wrights because Obama spent almost 20 years with this man. Judgment.
This is a political nightmare for the Obama campaign and the Democrat party.
Sunny,
Wright did not betray anyone, he said what the left believes. This Church would feel betrayed by your comment because they know Wright to be this way and approve of it.
The church members and others cheered Rev. Wrights speeches at the NAACP and the National Press Club, thats not a reaction to a feeling of betrayal.
He is not officially retired yet. It doesn’t matter the relationship is already their and Obama has talked frequently about how influential it was.
I don’t watch Hannity very much. I bet I watch more Left wing news and commentator shows than you think. cbs, abc, nbc, pbs, msnbc, and cnn almost everyday. I like to watch the patterns of words the MSM uses across networks, it shows them being complicit it how the news is delivered with a bias.
The current words for this topic are, is this behind us now? and betrayal. NBC Meridith Vera intervied the Obama’s this morning and asked them if they felt betrayed.
The country is being betrayed by these comments not the Obama’s, they believe the sentiment.
