Senator John McCain has suspended his campaign to stay in Washington and work on the financial crisis. McCain has also asked for the debate scheduled for Friday night be postponed.
This is a good move that will show the American people that McCain puts the Country First.
Bill Burton, Obama spokesperson, said in an email to the press, after McCain’s press conference, that at 8;30 this morning Senator Obama called Senator McCain to talk about issuing a statement of working together. Obama is trying to make it out that Obama was in line with this. If Obama was in line with this then he would be mugging for the cameras instead of hiding in a hotel in Florida. Obama to speak at a press conference later.
Wrong, this is McCain at his maverick best. Check, maybe check mate!
We are now waiting for the Debate Commission to respond about changing the debate at Oxford Mississippi Friday night.
