In Laredo Texas our schools are full of illegal immigrants. By law, we can not deny them an education as long as they provide an address in the U.S. Our schools are overcrowded, and our taxes keep rising. No one has ever done anything about it. Our children do not qualify for pre-kinder because they speak English. Now, does that make sense????
The public schools receive money for all limited english speaking students (lots of it) so do you really think they are going to enforce checking up on addresses?
Not only do illegal immigrants get free education, but also free medical services, food stamps, and now a possible free college education. What next ? How are we going to keep up paying for their education, medical services, and much more?

I’m only eighteen (could not vote at the time of elections) and I believe everything you say. Obama is not ruling America with American values, he belongs in Europe where socialism is allowed to grow, but, then again, even they see through him. Americans have just become so lazy and would take any way out except now they’ve come into contact with potential redistribution like mentioned in the article. I can only hope that people accept responsibility rather than permanent mediocrity…

The video talks about the ACCOUNTING PRACTICES which have nothing to do with the LENDING PRACTICES.

Republican Chris Shays talks about Sarbanes-Oxley which only deals with ACCOUNTING PRACTICES.

Republicans also only talk about the “executive bonus pay” which has nothing to do with their LENDING PRACTICES.

The fact is Fannie and Freddie went under like the banks did because of their LENDING PRACTICES.

Neither Democrats or Republicans knew that Default Credit Swaps would cripple the US banking system.

The proof is that Republicans were nowhere to be heard about instituting regulations for private mortgage lenders so the US financial system didn’t collapse.

Another key thing to keep in mind is that even if Republicans and Democrats passed legislation in 2005, it would not have stopped the collapse of Fannie and Freddie.

Republicans are working so hard to place blame on everyone except themselves that they overlook how we got here.

Well, Manuel is probably right. Unless the laws are enforced, we will probably be over-run. And by ‘we’ I mean all legal US citizens, legal hispanics included. Gov. Ritter is not doing us any favors, and this non-enforcement of the current immigration laws is a prime example of his failed leadership. We are now beginning to see the effect of the large illegal pool of workers in this state and in the US as a whole. The last blow will be when all of the illegal immigrants get amnesty. Sad. Are you listening Bill?

Bunch of crap.
The refreezing is becasue of the sun and soon in some years we will see their is no Global Warming, it was created becasue of MONEY!
The Norsemen went Greenland in 1500 and their was no Ice, in 100 years they left because the Ice returned even though the Inuits stayed.
I think we better hope this doesn’t turn into a deep Solar Maximum.
