Stop Motion:
Ashes to Ashes
By using digital video and computer software I manipulate images to depict the transition of the human body into the earth as in the saying, ashes to ashes and dust to dust. I used digital video, charcoal, and pastel on large format paper to produce a portrait and nude that are transformed into organic scenes that support the idea of the body being absorbed back into the earth. These images will be exploring the emotions of death and rebirth.
